“So now we are faced with the Internet, social media, and other new technologies, and I believe the arts field must embrace them and integrate them into our work. Not to replace it, but to extend it.”– Rocco Landesman, Chairman, NEA
In 2011, VirtualArtsTV made history by producing the first live-streamed, digital play and viewers around the world greeted us with virtual standing ovations.
“The thrill of live theatre, the feeling of being a part of it and yet I’m miles away… amazing” wrote Carolyn B, on Facebook. Carolyn’s sentiments were echoed by viewers in Australia, Japan, Sweden, Spain, Cleveland and Arizona.
Join us as we take our largest creative step forward yet.
This February, VirtualArtsTV is presenting the first ever live-streamed performing arts festival. We are calling it the WiredArts Fest. Think of a fringe festival, but online, where the audience is global, seating is unlimited and viewers can participate in live chat discussions while the performance is happening.
We are thrilled to be joined by 13 stellar companies that span the world’s of theater, dance and music as we perform for audiences all over the globe and invite them to join our live community so that we can all share in a global artistic experience.
Help us as we continue on our quest to create a new model of live performance that resonates with today’s wired twenty-first century audience by making a generous, tax deductible donation to the WiredArts Fest. We would be happy to acknowledge your donation on our website, through various other channels, and at the WiredArts Fest (unless you prefer otherwise).
